udig is a platform for discovering live music and rating the artists and shows you experience from the floor. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum we need to run the service and never sell your personal data.
1.Who we are
udig is operated by Juturna. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “udig,” it refers to that operator. We act as the data controller for the information described below.
2.Information we collect
We collect only what the product needs to work:
- Account data. Your email address and the role(s) you hold — listener, artist, or both. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Profile data. For artists: name, city, country, bio, profile photo, and the streaming/social links you choose to add. For listeners: an optional display name.
- Activity data. The ratings, reviews, shows, venues, and artists you interact with, and the artists you follow.
- Verification data. For artist accounts, the artist name and verification links you submit so we can review the claim.
- Technical data. Standard log and device information needed to keep sessions secure and the service reliable.
- Live location (artists only, opt-in). If you are an artist and you have separately agreed to live location sharing, your device shares its approximate position while you are performing a booked set, so people at the event can find your stage on the live map. This is off unless you turn it on, it is never collected from listeners, and it is never collected outside the time windows described in “Live location for artists” below.
3.How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To power your dashboards — listener ratings, places, and following; artist audience, geography, shows, and reviews.
- To verify artist claims and manage role-based access (listener, artist, admin).
- To operate, maintain, and improve the service.
- To communicate with you about your account or material changes to the service.
4.Public information
Some content is public by design. Artist profiles, public event pages, and aggregate ratings can be viewed by anyone. Treat anything you publish to a public profile or review as visible to others. Your email address is never shown publicly.
5.Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run udig, including Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage) and Vercel (hosting). These providers process data only on our instructions and under their own security commitments.
6.Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.
7.Your rights and choices
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To make a request, contact us using the email below. We do not sell your personal data.
8.Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, scoped access, and managed infrastructure — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit who can access it.
9.Children
udig is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from them.
10.Live location for artists
Live location is an optional feature for artists only. It exists so that people at an event can find the stage you are playing on. Listeners are never located. If you never accept it, none of the following applies to you and nothing about your location is ever collected.
- What is collected. The approximate position reported by your device, with the time it was recorded. We do not collect a location history, we do not track you between shows, and we do not use your location for advertising or sell it to anyone.
- When it starts and stops. Only during a set you are booked to play, and only when all of the following are true: the event has been approved on udig, the promoter switched the live map on for your slot, and you accepted live location sharing. Sharing begins at your scheduled start time and stops at your scheduled end time. Outside that window nothing is shared.
- It starts automatically. Once you have accepted, sharing begins on its own at your start time — you do not have to remember to switch it on. This is the point of the feature, and it is why your agreement is asked for separately and in advance rather than buried in signup.
- Who can see it. While a set is live, your approximate position is shown publicly on the live map alongside your artist name. Treat it as visible to anyone using udig, not only to people at the venue.
- How to stop it. You can switch the live map off at any moment, including in the middle of a set, from the app. It takes effect immediately, your published position is deleted, and sharing does not resume for the rest of that set. You never have to give a reason. Your promoter is told that you switched it off, so that they know you are not on the map — but your safety comes first and you do not need anyone’s permission. You can also withdraw your agreement entirely, which stops any future set from starting automatically.
- How long it is kept. Position data is kept only for as long as it is needed to show the live map during the set. It is removed when the set ends, and immediately if you switch the live map off.
- Your phone controls it too. Your agreement on udig does not override your device. Your phone will ask for its own location permission, and you can refuse or revoke it in your operating system settings at any time. If you do, udig cannot share your position regardless of anything you agreed to here.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
